Palma, the capital of the Balearic Islands, is a lively, cosmopolitan city in true Spanish tradition, its city centre forming a bustling array of shopping centres, a maze of narrow lanes and restored buildings surrounded by ruined ancient city walls, and modern boulevards.
Despite the invasion of foreign tourists Palma has kept its local flavour, particularly in its old quarter lined by cafes and tapas bars. It is also home to the magnificent Gothic cathedral that dominates the skyline, as well as beautiful architecture and a superb array of shops.
Palma’s spectacular port is home to some of the most exclusive yachts in the world.
Palma also boasts some fantastic shops ranging from the famous Spanish department store “El Corte Ingles” to exclusive designer boutiques, numerous shoe shops, Zaras, Mango, C&A and many, many more.
