The bustling resort of Magalluf, which is approximately 20 minutes drive from the airport, is one of Europe's most popular family destinations. The resort is popular with all age groups due to its fantastic beach, hundreds of bars and restaurants and great accommodation. Also many of the main attractions are just a walk or a short taxi ride away.

 

Shopping: The promenade and streets in the centre of Magalluf are lined with dozens of shops selling beachwear, inflatables, buckets and spades, souvenirs and other tourist goods. There are good supermarkets in both Magalluf and the neighbouring resort of Palma Nova that stock all the well-known international brands including baby foods and nappies. Most things are good value, particularly alcohol and cigarettes.

Restaurants: Magalluf has lots of restaurants and cafes catering for all tastes and all budgets. Those in self-catering accommodation find they are never very far from a familiar name like McDonalds, Burger King or Pizza Hut. and there is a wide selection of restaurants catering to British tastes and excellent value kids menus. Tom Brown restaurants, of which there are 3, offer great food and fantastic deals and offers for families. For variety there are Indian, Chinese, Mexican, Italian and even some Spanish restaurants too.

Nightlife: Magalluf is famous for its party scene; however there are also lots of places for families to enjoy a great evening whether it is in Benny Hills Bar, Ruby Tuesdays or the superb Pirates Adventure show which is a must for everyone.

Activities: Daytime activities in Magalluf are centred on the long sandy beach which is safe therefore great for kids. For the older kids you will find various water sports such as the doughnuts and the Banana ride. The two large water parks Aqualand and Western Water Park in Magalluf are also fantastic for kids of all ages.
